Referral Campaign
On October 5th, 2023, a virtual U-Report Advocacy Orientation meeting was held. Mr. Amitayush Priyadarshi, UNICEF's Digital Youth and Civic Engagement Officer, encouraged U-Ambassadors to advocate for U-Report India by engaging with communities and institutions.
He introduced a referral campaign, offering rewards to 10 proactive U-Ambassadors who refer the earliest 500 people. Attendees expressed interest in a competition to attract more young people to the U-Report India platform.
Logo Competition
To establish a unique identity for the U-Ambassador program, we organized a logo making competition. U-Ambassadors were invited to propose original designs for the U-Ambassador logo. We registered all U-Ambassadors using a Google Form and provided them with a detailed briefing on our logo requirements. The U-Ambassadors showed great enthusiasm and submitted over 300 logo designs for consideration.
To efficiently compile the logos shared on various social media platforms by U-Ambassadors, Mr. Karthikeyan from Tamil Nadu was assigned the responsibility.
We distributed a Google Form which was created by Soumyadip Dewanji from West Bengal with help from Irene Mariam John, Advisor and conducted a poll on WhatsApp, allowing U-Ambassadors to rank their preferred logo choices.
After a meticulous selection process and public voting, the logo designed by U-Ambassador Aman Kumar from Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh was chosen as the official logo for the U-Ambassador program.

Advocacy and Partnership plans
In the U-Report Advocacy Orientation meeting held on 5th October 2023, Mr. Amitayush Priyadarshi, UNICEF's Digital Youth and Civic Engagement Officer interacted with all the U-Ambassadors and briefed them about the effective ways of U-Report India platform advocacy. Also, he shared one presentation with U-Ambassadors to customize and use in events. Since then, U-Ambassadors are frequently reaching out to schools and communities and getting recognised as Advocacy Champions.
Meet The Advocacy Champions
Website Creation
An open call was posted in the group in which many U-Ambassadors shared their interest to contribute to the website development. A core team was formed from interested people led by Soumyadip Dewanji. That team worked toward building the dedicated website of the U-Ambassadors program and here it is finally live, designed by young minds.
