Empowering Youth in Rural Rajasthan: Purushotam Navodayan's U-Report Advocacy

On 11th October, 2023, a remarkable event unfolded at a school nestled in a rural village of Rajasthan, all thanks to the tireless efforts of U-Report India's dedicated U-Ambassador, Purushotam Navodayan.

Purushotam hails from Rajasthan and has a remarkable journey of service. He was previously a National Youth Volunteer (NYV) in NYKS, where he first came across U-Report India. His commitment and dedication have earned him the title of Top U-Reporter twice, in 2021 and 2022. Today, he proudly holds the position of an U-Ambassador.

His achievements are a testament to his passion and impact, having successfully encouraged 792 people to join U-Report India. Currently, he boasts an impressive 42,140 U-Points.

Purushotam mostly resides outside his village but recently visiting his village school in an evening led him to a heartwarming encounter. While walking around the school, he met with a group of students playing volleyball. Curiosity piqued, he joined them and found himself amidst a lively conversation. These students, aged about 16-18, were discussing their future aspirations.

Seizing the opportunity, he introduced them to U-Report India. He explained how the platform offers essential career guidance to help youth like them to explore their future possibilities. Moreover, he highlighted different resources available on U-Report India chatbot, including guidance on spoken English and Mental Health.

Purushotam's advocacy efforts resonated with the young hearts he engaged with. Inspired by his words, all 10 of the students decided to join their U-Report journey.

Amidst the simplicity of rural Rajasthan, Purushotam's unwavering commitment to uplifting young spirits is a heartwarming reminder of the impact people can have on their communities. Through his tireless efforts, he isn't just unlocking doors of opportunity for these young minds; he's also illuminating a path toward a future filled with hope and promise.
